Welcome to The Immortal Caleb Child's Website! I
need to be getting
some sleep now or else I'll get fired from my job, so I figure now's a
great time to set up my website!
In what can laughably be called my spare time I am trying to put together a video game or two. You can find out more information about those projects on the Current Projects list, below. I regret that I am unable to provide reliable up-to-date progress on these projects with my current work schedule. If you have access to a lot of money, fund my gaming projects, and I'll have a finished product in six months*. Or if you don't have funding skills but are proficient in other means, I am quite willing to let you help with any of my projects. At any rate, you can contact me for more information if you want it.
In addition to that, if you look around this site you may also find a variety of other nifty things, such as reviews of video games and a small sample of things I have created.
*claim is subject to the specific amount of funding you provide.
-I've started my own webcomic! Go read it at: http://maytiacomic.com/
-The Ninja Gaiden Trilogy video is complete! Contact me if you want to watch it. Movie night!
-The Pilot episode of Twilight Descent is now complete. I am willing to share a copy with anyone who would like to offer feedback.
-If anyone would like to swap friend codes on
Nintendo WFC, I have a copy of Mario Kart DS, Tetris DS, and Smash Bros
Brawl. Also I have a PS3 if anyone wants to add me as a
friend on the Playstation Network.
It is a 2D side-scrolling game following after the more classic games of yore. Oh just read the page for more information.
Current Progress: Founding gameplay programmed
It's about a group of friends and their wacky shenanigans. There's gonna be everything from evles to aliens.
Current Progress: Up and running!
Current Progress: Basic camera set up
I fully intend to get this one published, no if's, and's, and only three but's.
Helping me on this project is Trescott Jensen with continuity and editing, and Glen Kennedy with checking for "Effect" and some editing.
Current Progress: 19.2 of 32 projected chapters
It's the story from my Twilight Descent screenplay (see "Old Projects") but as a television series.
There currently is no one helping me with this project.
Current Progress: Episode 2
With enough support, I would like to develop this and get it published. Otherwise we'll see how much just one man can do. Will it just be a few levels? Will the levels be connected and playable in a single-player mode? Will ninjas fall from the sky and reign destruction on the Earth, or will they save the world? Together we shall witness the future.
There currently is no one helping me with this project.
Waiting For: Money
Waiting For: Ninja Mod to finish
Waiting For: More development experience
|Undergraduate Degree in English
This education is to ideally help me with my writing and story-telling skills, as well as being a general good thing to have.
I'm still not sure why some of my teachers have given me passing grades.
Waiting For: SCC to offer ENGL 23
Please Teacher Fanscript
It is based upon Please Teacher, and starts at about the fourth or fifth episode of that show. After that my script goes in a completely different direction from the anime. Way different.
If you are interested in reading it you'll need to watch the first disc of Please Teacher. That being so, there's altogether too much material pertaining to this project for me to post it on this site, especially since half of it is copyrighted. If you want to read it (and watch the anime that goes with it) you'll have to contact me and I'll arrange something.
It features Cas (Aaron Castillo) as the main character, and a whole lot of silliness. I rather want to go back and remake this (and its counterpart) into a more complete game. I'd have to make a number of changes, but I'm fine with that.
If you have a dex-drive and a copy of RPG Maker, you can download a copy of this game here. Otherwise, if you want to play this, you'll have to contact me and we'll arrange something.
Kefka the Mighty
It is the half-sequel to CAS-ilvania. The whole idea behind this one was that I was pulling out all the stops that held me back in CAS-ilvania. Every dungeon would be completely original, and it featured tons of "new" art. Eventually I hit the maximum size for the system file, and had to cut back a little. I guess I should have seen that coming. At least I made a game where you play as Kefka.

It was written for an assignment in a creative writing class I took. I received a lot of conflicting feedback on how good the dialogue is, and most of the really good story parts don't kick up until you get to the pages that have not been written. It's a movie about comic-book-styled superheroes, but the emphasis is not on battles and action, but rather the personal life of the secret identity.
I feel it could still use some polishing and re-working, (plus perhaps the other one-hundred pages,) still, it's just been collecting dust on a shelf so I offer the Word document here for any interested in reading some of my work.
From West Solano
The local single's branch of my church made it as an FHE activity. I edited it and made the DVD, as well as did some of the "directing." It's a fun little flick, but I cannot guarantee the quality of story or acting. Enjoy at your own risk.
I'm not going to be so heinous to my brother as to upload the whole movie to his hard-drive, so if you want to see this you'll have to contact me, or another member of the branch. However, I did make a trailer and if you want to watch it you may do so here (High - Low - Mac).
